HANS devices for motorists

Earlier this year it was reported there are over 500,000 whiplash claims each year, more per mile than head injuries to cyclists, and the number is growing at an alarming rate, over 70% up in recent years. It's like an epidemic! and this at a time when rates of motoring are falling a bit.

One can only think that motorists should be compelled to wear HANS devices for their own protection. Or maybe there's just a significant proportion of motorists who are liars.
